How to throw a BBQ outside of the summer season the right way

Summer is officially over and it can be a depressing thought. With so many months between the next time that the pool cover comes off the thought of having a BBQ again can feel like nothing more than a distant dream. But it doesn’t have to be that way at all. There are still ways to keep the summer spirit alive even if the months have long ended. One of those ways is by throwing a BBQ during the year. It may not be perfectly the same, but there are clever ways to make it feel like it’s summer all over again, and we’ll show you how.

It’s all about the food

What’s the first thing you ask when you ask yourself if there’s a BBQ near me? The food. You want to know if there is, then what type of food is there. That’s because BBQ isn’t like other celebrations. You don’t have a giant ham for a BBQ, you have BBQ food like hamburgers and hotdogs. So, if it’s all about food then all you really need to do is ditch the prerequisite that it has to be summer and serve BBQ food at the even of your choice. Whether it’s your birthday or some other special day, put out those hamburgers and call it a BBQ anyway.

Make the indoors look like outdoors

What do the best restaurants in DFW all have in common aside from having great food? Their interior matches their food quality. What we mean by this is that whether you’re a restaurant or someone throwing a party, the decorations and theme matter. So what if you can’t exactly have your BBQ in the backyard like you want to because the weather isn’t summered enough. There’s nothing stopping you from making the inside of your home like summer for your party. Bring out the flags, the coolers, and some summer decorations and you have yourself a BBQ indoors.

Wait for the hottest day

When would there most likely be a BBQ nearby? Your best bet is on a warm day. And that’s something to take note of. If you want to have a BBQ during fall or winter, then just simply wait for the warmest day to have it and you’ll give your guests that summer feels even though you’re nowhere close to those months. All it takes is some good timing and you’re set!

Go to a restaurant that serves BBQ food

When all else fails and summer is still far away, come on into a place like Shady Oak and trade in your planning hate for some barbeque deals. It can be tricky trying to duplicate a barbeque during the year, that’s why Shady Oak serves that type of food year-round. Be sure to stop on today!
